The UK Fund For Charities’ International Programme was set up to help Charitable organisations outside the United Kingdom that have UK supporters and want to maximise their income from those supporters and fulfil their UK fundraising potential.
For example, contributions from UK taxpayers, at current tax rates, (April 2008) can be increased by 28% in reclaimed Gift Aid tax and transitional relief. This is a particularly significant opportunity for schools, colleges and universities outside the UK that have graduates or alumni in the UK, and for any charity outside the UK with UK supporters, even just one!
The UK Fund itself does not undertake fundraising programmes, however it can advise on aspects of fundraising.
The trustees currently plan to meet quarterly in January, April, July and October to award grants. The trustees cannot guarantee that they will meet or make grants on any particular date or on request and they may increase administrative charges or any administrative arrangements at any time.
