Donor Accounts
With a UKFC Donor Account you can put money aside to donate to any charity, at any time, so there’s money there for when it’s needed most.
A Donor Account is a tax-deductible account at a grant-making charity that is funded by an individual donor. The donor advises the grant-making charity on what projects to support with funds from the donor’s account. Such requests may be made at any time. You can decide how and when you choose to support the causes you care about – whether it’s making a one-off donation to an emergency appeal, sponsoring friends and family or making regular donations to help causes close to your heart.
With a pool of money specifically set aside for your giving, and a choice of ways to donate and top up your UKFC Donor Account – plus Gift Aid benefits – managing your charitable giving couldn’t be easier.
When you top up your UKFC Donor Account, we’ll automatically claim Gift Aid on your donation, adding 25p to every £1 you give.
If you want to place funds into a Donor Account the UK Fund can help. You can recommend that grants are made from your account to non-UK charities that you wish to support and the UK Fund will verify their eligibility. The cost of verification, £100.00, will be deducted from the account if a charity is not already an International Programme Member. The grant administration costs will be retained from each grant made from the Account, as well as any bank charges that may be incurred. There is currently no interest paid on a Donor Account.

Grant Administration Retention
As a charity ourselves, we keep our fees to a minimum. We deduct a small contribution of X% for payments in to your UKFC Donor Account, up to the value of £X (calculated annually). For sums over £X, this fee is reduced to X%.
| Donation Amount | Retention |
| Up to and Including £100.00 | 20% |
| Up to £10,000.00 | 8% |
| £10,000.00 and over | 5% |
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you should include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return if you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you. Follow the Gift Aid Link to learn more.
A Donor Account Statement will be provided whenever a grant is made from your account, when a donation is received or upon request. If a Statement is requested the sum of £5.00 will be retained from your account.
